packing those bags

it's less than 2 weeks till i fly from my little island to start my *incredible* journey. i have been sorting through my wardrobe and trying to figure out how i can possibly fit all the things i need into 1 large (not huge, though) suitcase and a carry on! i will probably end up checking an extra bag...

before the actual voyage commences, i get to have a few days visiting my daughter and grand daughter in astoria, oregon. jill moved there in may because her husband was stationed there in the coast guard. i am thrilled the ship's departure port is only a few hours from jill and her family and i can see jocelyn again!

are you ready? here it is. what you've been waiting for. it's the blog that will journal my journey. if you didn't know, i am going on a cruise. a LONG cruise. to exotic places. criss-crossing the pacific. then, (as if you're not lucky ENOUGH) i will continue keeping you up to date with my island affairs once i get back - or maybe even before the ship sets sail!
